Welcome to Biosoil
Biosoil apply Science and Technology with processes to provide biological solutions to our Farmers with high levels of salts in their water as well as saline soil.
- We assess the water quality and the soil analysis to determine how we can improve the soil health.
- The existing irrigation system is utilised as a tool to achieve various benefits and cost savings.
- Our approach is a biological approach without affecting your current programs including bio-stimulants and chelates.
- We improve water quality and soil health for healthier crops, lower input cost and increased yield.
Biosoil is using the Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) and is commonly used for water treatment where traditional water treatment methods, including standard oxidation, is not sufficient to break down chemical compounds.
Two of the most powerful oxidants known to mankind, Ozone (O₃) and Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), are injected into the irrigation water to form amongst other Peroxone or H₂O₃ which is much more potent than either O₃ or H₂O₂ on their own. Peroxone oxidizes to -OH radicals which are highly oxidative.
These radicals oxidize the carbonate and bi-carbonate salts to release the calcium and magnesium and other cations into the soil.
These cations bind with anions for instance sulphates and chlorides which are highly water soluble, and the magnesium and sodium leach out of the soil profile.
Applied Technology
We design, manufacture and distribute the Aqua Max™ Server technology to improve soil health and water quality. We clean irrigation systems, filters, drips, micros etc to improve the water distribution of your water system. With our special Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP), we oxidize compacted soil, better utilization of your nutrients and enhancement of root growth.
The Aqua Max System can assist you to clean your filters and thereby reduce back washing cycles. With our system we supply oxygen rich water, clean bio- film and optimise the pump station.
The Aqua Max Server can be installed on any Irrigation System.
Typical Farming environments where the Aqua Max can be used:
There are three main factors affecting your irrigation system:
Too high levels of sodium can affect the absorption of a plant's nutrients and micro- nutrients (iron, manganese, zinc and copper).
Biological factors
- Polluted water
- Algae
- Bacteria
- Pathogens
Saline water, sediment deposits, bacteria and algae growth have an effect on:
Filters efficacy and function Maintenance costs
Pump & filter workload Irrigation duration
Flushing time of filters Electricity costs
Drip /micro delivery Labour costs
Chemical factors
One of our main components in Farming is water and our systems delivering the water and nutrients to our crops.
All precautionary measures can be taken, but the challenges remain. Dissolved salts, biofilm etc can have a major impact on your delivery of water and efficiency.
If your irrigation water has high values of metals, chloride, sodium, EC, carbonates and magnesium, it will affect your irrigation system, impact the plant, soil health and the yield on the crops.
.
Physical factors
Saline water can affect your irrigation system, the plant's nutrient uptake and impact the quality produced with a lower crop yield.
Dissolved salts can lead to corrosion on certain components of the irrigation system as well as clogging.
These saline soil conditions can lead to soil compaction and eventually to saline soil conditions.
With poor soil health the water filtration is impacted.
We can assist you to improve your water quality and soil health, saving you money and improving your crop yield.
